The Council of Ministers has approved, on the proposal of the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy, the Royal Decree regulating the granting of subsidies to companies in certain sectors that contract indefinitely in the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla.
This measure promotes the socio-economic development of autonomous cities in line with the objectives set in the comprehensive employment plans of both localities.
The new subsidies, the amount of which complements already planned bonuses, make it possible to reach 50% of the company’s contribution by encouraging the indefinite hiring of workers in high-value-added activities. It is therefore a decisive action to promote the socio-economic development of these autonomous cities.
These subsidies will be managed by the State Public Employment Service (SEPE).
