As a result of the works that have already been started in the Port of Algeciras, consisting of the reinforcement, replacement and renovation of the beams and boards of the three trousers that serve the maritime station of that port, the Government Delegation has hosted this morning a first coordination meeting with the aim of minimizing the interference that such works may cause in the normal development of maritime traffic from Ceuta.
This meeting was attended by members of the Port Authority of Ceuta, the Maritime Captaincy, the State Security Forces and Bodies and representatives of the three shipowners operating in the Strait to analyze the changes that the aforementioned port works are going to generate.
The objective is that these tasks affect as little as possible the Ceutian travelers maintaining the same number of rotations, regardless of the time changes that may occur.
To try to reduce the wait and facilitate the normal development of the crossings, it is recommended that travelers go to the Port 45 minutes before the planned departure.
