As every year, the next celebration of the Christmas Holidays entails the implementation of a series of measures that the General Administration of the State and the Autonomous City of Ceuta are going to implement to guarantee the security, protection and surveillance of public spaces during a few days in which there is a high concentration of people.
Chaired by the Government Delegate, Rafael García, and with the presence of the President and Government Councilor, Alberto Gaitán, a Security Board has been held today at 12 noon, a forum in which both Administrations have jointly coordinated a series of security devices and reinforcement measures to ensure the normal development of these holidays in which a high density of people occurs, especially in commercial and leisure areas, streets of greater traffic, Christmas markets and entertainment areas in public spaces.
As usual at this time, the National Police Force, the Civil Guard and the Local Police will work in a coordinated manner to implement the agreed security measures both in the main commercial areas and at the border and in the port.
The “Secure Trade” Plan will mobilize the two police officers who have already held previous meetings, over the past few weeks, to determine the necessary action plan. As in the past year, portable devices and mobile applications have been enabled to facilitate the exchange of information.
This Plan is designed to protect the business sector and its customers throughout the year, and is reinforced on certain dates, such as Christmas, to prevent the commission of crimes such as theft, robbery with violence or intimidation, robbery with force or fraud.
