The government delegate welcomes the fact that there is already a new location for driving tests in Ponferrada

The Government delegate, Nicanor Sen, welcomes the fact that there is already a pre-agreement between the Provincial Traffic Headquarters of León and the City of Ponferrada regarding the use of municipal spaces to carry out theoretical and practical tests to obtain the driving license in Ponferrada, as a displaced center of the General Traffic Directorate (DGT).

Given the concern expressed by the Bertian motorschools, the Delegation had guaranteed that it would not fail to provide this service and that work was already under way to find new locations where it would be possible to carry out both theoretical examinations and the skill tests associated only with obtaining certain driving licences.

In addition, delegate Nicanor Sen exposed this situation of uncertainty to the director of the DGT, Pere Navarro, during the working meeting held in early April, to which he requested that a solution be articulated as soon as possible.

Sen has thanked both the speed of Traffic and the willingness of the City of Ponferrada to give an alternative to the current locations and hopes that the collaboration protocol will be initialled in the coming weeks.
