April 15, 2022. The deputy delegate of the Government in Valladolid, Jacinto Canales, has presided today, together with the mayor of Villalar, Luis Alonso Laguna, the local Security Commission that coordinates the device planned for the next April 23 in Villalar de los Comuneros, when the feast of the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León is celebrated. The meeting was also attended by the territorial delegate of the Junta, the colonel of the Civil Guard Command of Valladolid, the provincial head of Traffic, the director of the Castilla y León Foundation and representatives of Civil Protection of the Government Delegation and the Junta de Castilla y León.

290 Civil Guard troops will ensure the safety of everyone during that day in the town of Vallisoletana, the campa and the accesses, in anticipation of a massive influx of people to celebrate the Community party.

Among these personnel are those of the Citizen Security Unit (USECIC), the Traffic Subsector, the Rural Security Group, TEDAX and air services, which will have, on this occasion, two helicopters, two drone and anti-drone units.

New Civil Guard Mobile Reporting Office

As a novelty this year, the Civil Guard will move to Villalar its new mobile complaints office, which will park at the entrance of the campa, near the control center, so that citizens who need to report something can do it right there, without having to travel or postpone it.

It is also planned to install a Violet Point against sexual assaults at the entrance of the campa.

Traffic

Another 17 people will work on April 23 at the Management Center of the General Directorate of Traffic, in coordination with the troops of the Civil Guard.

Traffic has organized the special device for that date with surveillance points and will also establish alcohol and drug controls on April 22 and 23.

As for the accesses, the DGT recommends taking the exit 189 of the A-6 to access Villalar to drivers coming from Burgos-Valladolid. Should this exit become saturated, traffic would be redirected to exit 196. For people accessing from Salamanca, it is recommended to take the A-11-N122.

Airspace

As on other occasions, the Government Subdelegation has processed the request of the Civil Guard to ENAIRE, the public business entity under the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility that manages Spanish airspace, to restrict airspace on that day, so that the work of the media of the State Security Forces and Bodies is facilitated and risks to the population are avoided.
