March 20, 2024.- The Civil Guard of Ávila, through the Subdelegation of the Government, has signed a collaboration agreement with the City of El Tiemblo in matters of citizen security that will allow to strengthen collaboration and coordination between both bodies and, therefore, the provision of services to the citizens.
This is an agreement that is part of the collaboration plan between the State Security Forces and Bodies and the Local Police of Ávila through the signing of Security Plans that in February have been implemented in the municipalities of Sotillo de la Adrada and Cebreros.
With a novelty. Thanks to this agreement the local agents of El Tiemblo will have access to the databases of the Civil Guard. Through a computer program, they will be able to consult information about people in search and capture and/or missing, stolen vehicles, criminal history, traffic data or any other information of interest to the Local Police.
Information that, according to the subdelegate of the Government in Ávila, Fernando Galeano, will allow to improve the operability of the local troops. “The exchange of information is key to achieving greater effectiveness of the joint actions between the State Security Forces and Local Police. This agreement will not only provide a better public service, but will also provide local personnel with greater security when carrying out their work,” said Galeano.
At the end of the day, the deputy delegate recalled, the Local Police has exclusive competence in traffic in the urban center, hence the importance of having access to the databases of drivers “to know at all times what they are facing”.
An agreement that has been signed within the framework of the Local Security Board chaired by the subdelegate of the Government in Ávila and the mayor of El Tiemblo, in which representatives of National Police, Civil Guard, Local Police, as well as Civil Protection at national and regional level have participated.
In this way, the foundations are laid to develop a Security Plan in El Tiemblo, an instrument that allows to make a diagnosis of the security situation in the municipality, evaluate the available resources and establish lines of joint action between the two bodies, all with the final objective of preventing and increasing citizen security.
In addition, through this agreement, the Local Police of El Tiemblo will be able to benefit from the specific plans of training of the Civil Guard in matters of various kinds, such as alcohol controls in urban helmets, protocols of actions in cases of gender violence or techniques of operative intervention.
