Visit to the rehabilitation works of the old schools of Tábara
February 20, 2024.- The subdelegate of the Government in Zamora, Ángel Blanco, visited on Tuesday the rehabilitation works of the old schools of Tábara for multipurpose building. The recovery of this space is financed by the Program to Promote the Rehabilitation of Public Buildings (PIREP), within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Government of Spain.
The deputy delegate has checked the progress of the work, which is in its final phase, accompanied by the mayor of Tábara, Antonio Juárez, whom he has congratulated for the initiative and the achievement of the aid. “Today here in Tábara we see how the Government’s Recovery Plan arrives in Zamora, promoting the rehabilitation of public buildings and the energy transition, thanks to the institutional collaboration, in this case between the Government and the City of Tábara,” said Ángel Blanco.
Tábara is one of the four municipalities of Zamora benefiting from the aid of Line 1 of the Local PIREP. The Ministry of Transport granted an aid of 50,814.75 euros to the City of Tábara to carry out this project.
In total, the province of Zamora has attracted more than 2.7 million euros of this aid, to rehabilitate four buildings of local entities. The other three projects correspond to the City of Benavente, with 2,414,915.87 euros to rehabilitate the building of Calle Herreros, 45; Manzanal de Arriba, 106,301.55 euros for adaptation works; and Palacios de Sanabria, with 180,501.73 euros for the adaptation of a municipal building without use as a hostel of the Caminos de Santiago.
Reception of works until September 30
The works must be received without any qualms before September 30 of this year. The subdelegate recalled that it is necessary to comply with this deadline to comply with the call. The aid has already been anticipated by the Ministry of Transport to the municipalities.
In the case of the rehabilitation carried out by the City of Tábara, the works have an execution period of three months and are in their final phase. The actions include the improvement of the insulation and accessibility of the property. The building will be used for cultural and social activities.
Energy saving over 30%
The sub-delegate also stressed that the PIREP programme gives a boost to the energy transition, since the projects financed reduce the energy consumption of public buildings by 30% or more, with consequent savings.
The works also meet criteria of sustainability, inclusion and aesthetic quality.
