January 26, 2024.- The monthly payroll of the Social Security contributory benefits in the month of January in Castilla y León has been of 778.1 million euros for the payment of the ordinary monthly payment.
Distribution according to pension class in Castilla y León
Nearly three-quarters of January’s contributory pension payroll relates to retirement pensions, namely 74.4%, or just over €579 million. A total of Euro132.9 million has been earmarked for widows' pensions, while the payroll for permanent disability benefits is Euro52.8 million, the payroll for orphans is Euro10.3 million and the payroll for family benefits is Euro2.9 million.
Of the 623,973 contributory pensions paid, 405,449 are for retirement, 149,910 for widows, 45,606 for permanent disability, 19,106 for orphans and 3,902 for relatives. The number of pensions grows at a year-on-year rate of just over 0.79%.
In January, the number of pensioners is 572,397. Of these, 306,025 are men and 266,372 are women.
Average pension in Castilla y León
The average pension of the system, in January, amounts to 1,247.1 euros per month. This amount includes the different types of pension (retirement, permanent disability, widowhood, orphanhood and in favour of family members).
The average retirement pension, for its part, is 1,428.4 euros. For its part, the average widow’s pension is 838.86 euros per month.
The average resolution time of the files in December in Spain (last data available) was 9.61 days in the case of the retirement pension and 13.18 days in the case of widows’ pensions. It must be taken into account that the maximum period of resolution in these procedures, according to RD 286/2003 of March 7 and RD 1192/2021, of August 3, is 90 days in both retirement and widow’s benefits.
Gender gap add-ons in Castilla y León
In the first month of the year, 40,020 pensions have received the gender gap supplement. The average monthly amount of this supplement in the pension is 72 euros. Of the 40,020 supplementary pensions, 23.9% were pensioners with one child (9,563), who previously had no access to the maternity supplement. 46.4% of the beneficiaries have two children (18,570); 18.4% have three children (7,391), and four children have 11.2% (4,496).
The gender gap supplement, in force since February 2021, consists of a fixed amount, after the revaluation applied in 2024, of 33.20 euros per month per child, which applies from the first child, unlike the previous maternity supplement. It is requested at the same time as the pension is requested.
Passive classes in Spain
For its part, the monthly pension payroll of Passive Classes amounted to 2,975.5 million euros in the month of December, the last available data. In the last month of the year, to the ordinary payroll is added the extraordinary. This figure represents an increase of 315.2 million euros compared to the previous year, 11.9% more.
The number of pensions in force was 706,773, 14,596 more pensions than in the same month of the previous year (2.1% annual variation).
The Passive Class System of the State includes primarily military and civilian personnel of the General Administration of the State, the Administration of Justice, the General Courts and other constitutional or State bodies, as well as officials transferred to the autonomous communities.
