January 25, 2024.- Renfe and Fomento Burgos (Society for the Promotion and Development of the City of Burgos) have today sealed in Fitur an alliance with the purpose of promoting the railway as a means of transport and the city of Burgos as a destination for tourism and business trips.
The agreement was signed this morning by Javier Pérez, director of the High-Speed Business Area and other Commercial Services of Renfe, and Cristina Ayala, mayor of Burgos.
Renfe will offer discounts of 10% on AVE and Long Distance trains for congress and event attendees; as well as for themed getaways, group trips or MICE tourism (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Events and Congresses) organized by Fomento Burgos or held at its facilities.

The Burgos City Council, through Fomento Burgos, will promote the services of Renfe under the name ‘Renfe Tren Oficial’ of congresses, conventions, incentive trips, working days and jointly organized events. Both entities will work for the joint promotion of tourism and business trips linked to train travel as a more sustainable collective means of transport to travel to Burgos.
