January 16, 2024.- The Subdelegation of the Government in Salamanca has hosted this morning a Security meeting, convened with the aim of analyzing and establishing the lines of coordination and collaboration between the different services that will participate in the security operation designed on the occasion of the match of elimination of octaves of final of the King's Cup of football that will be held next Thursday, January 18 at the Reina Sofía Municipal Stadium in Salamanca and that will face the Unionists of Salamanca CF and FC Barcelona.
The meeting was chaired by the accidental subdelegate of the Government in Salamanca, Miriam Vicente, and by the councilor of the Area of Citizen Protection, Traffic and Transport of the City of Salamanca, Ángel Molina, and attended by representatives of the City of Salamanca, Subdelegation of the Government, Junta de Castilla y León, State Security Bodies and Forces, Local Police, the Area Base of Matacán and Salamanca Airport. In addition to representatives of the two clubs and the Real Federación Española de Fútbol.
As every time that sports celebrations of this nature have taken place, in which a large number of people are expected to attend, the meeting has served as a framework for the sharing of information on the means and action plans of each of the institutions involved during the movement of the teams, the access of the fans to the facilities as well as the start, development and conclusion of the event, to achieve the double objective that is intended: that the activity takes place with the greatest security for the attendees and so that its celebration affects the normal development of the daily activity of the rest of the citizenry.
