December 19, 2023.- The subdelegate of the Government in Zamora, Ángel Blanco, presided this morning the meeting of the Provincial Mixed Commission of Private Security, organ in which are present the heads of the State Security Forces and Bodies and representatives of the establishments required by law to have security measures (banking entities, jewelry stores, service stations, pharmacies...), as well as companies and workers in the sector. In Zamora, the number of establishments required by current regulations to have security measures in the province is estimated at 482.
The Provincial Joint Commission for the Coordination of Private Security has been attended by senior officials and specialists from the State Security Forces and Bodies, representatives of the main Federations-National Security Associations (APROSER, AES and FES), representatives of the banking, jewellery, petrol stations and pharmacies sectors, and, on the part of the workers, delegates from the trade unions Workers Commissions, UGT and CSI-CSIF. In addition, the regional head of Carrefour, Leoncio Núñez, and the regional security delegate of Castilla y León del Corte Inglés, Javier Rosa, were present as guests during the Commission.
ECONOMIC ENGINE
The deputy delegate of the Government in Zamora, Ángel Blanco, highlighted “the important role of private security in Spain and in Zamora, which has become a fundamental piece not only for its contribution to the security of all citizens, but also as an engine of the economy and a sector that creates employment”.
PLAN RED AZUL
One of the joint initiatives that affect the improvement and efficiency of public security is the so-called Blue Network Plan, which has increased the collaboration of the private sector with the National Police during the last year.
Some of the specific objectives of the Blue Network Plan are to institutionalize the collaborative relationships between the heads of the National Police Force and the Private Security Sector, intensify the collaborative contacts at all levels, increase the bidirectional information, improve the operational response in the actions of assistance and executive collaboration, and achieve more efficiency and effectiveness of the structure and means existing in the National Police Force and the Private Security Sector.
The Blue Network Portal gives registered companies and security guards access to four programs:
- Opera Program: communication of information of police interest.
- Program Manage: access to administrative procedures.
- Informative Program: access to the newsletter.
- Training Programme: improving the skills of private security personnel.
SECURITY STAFF
There are currently 1,227 persons authorized in the province of Zamora as private security personnel, of whom 803 are security guards.
In order to improve cooperation, the General Citizens ' Commissariat has made available to security guards a free 24-hour telephone service, through which they can provide information of police interest.
CHRISTMAS POLICE REINFORCEMENT
The Subdelegation of the Government in Zamora conveyed to the collective information on the active police reinforcement on the occasion of the Christmas holidays that will be maintained until January 10 of next year. This device focuses on surveillance in places of high concentration of people such as transport stations, commercial areas, leisure and sports places.
The meeting also addressed the need for establishments to comply with the Grade III adaptation period, which means that they must modernize the facilities of their devices until December 31 of this year.
