Santa Eulalia de Tábara: penultimate stop of “The Administration near you” before the end of the year
The initiative of the Ministry of Territorial Policy has already passed through 141 municipalities in the province
December 14, 2023.- The subdelegate of the Government in Zamora, Ángel Blanco, has moved this morning to Santa Eulalia de Tábara, to participate in a new day framed in the state service "The Administration near you" that the Government launched at the end of last year, in order to bring the services of the General Administration of the State to the rural areas and thus facilitate the procedures to its citizens without having to move from their localities.
Ángel Blanco stressed that “all Zamoranos and Zamoranas have the same rights to live where they live and it is therefore a question of avoiding the displacement of people from the rural world to Zamora. Most of them are elderly people and often without their own means to carry out these journeys on their own. With this we try to overcome the digital divide and eliminate social inequalities, increasing social cohesion to face the great problem of depopulation.”
During the day, a large number of residents of the town of Santa Eulalia de Tábara have approached the city council to attend a training and informative session, in which they have learned how to process their certificate or electronic signature. They have also been able to benefit from personalized attention by making inquiries about pensions, benefits, doubts about Social Security, traffic fines or IMSERSO.
Specialized technicians, who usually work for the subdelegation of the Government of Zamora, have assisted in situ these citizens who, otherwise, would have to travel the 37 kilometers that separate their municipality from the capital.
141 LOCALITIES and MORE THAN 1051 PERSONAL ASSISTANCE
The initiative of the Ministry of Territorial Policy “The administration near you” was launched in November 2022 in the province of Zamora, specifically in the town of El Perdigón. Since then, a total of 141 localities have been visited by the team of officials assigned for this purpose, directly serving 1051 neighbours, 622 women and 429 men.
232 certificates and 543 permanent keys have been issued. More importantly, word of mouth has worked because the registry offices in the capital have received more visits and requests than ever before. In addition, 73.59% of attendees request and obtain digital keys and certificates.
As the subdelegate underlines, “new technologies enable a new framework of relations with citizens through headquarters and electronic procedures. You don’t have to be afraid to face this new world that we can all learn to master perfectly.”
“The Administration near you” is intended to facilitate the management of procedures and benefits dependent on the General State Administration (AGE) to people living in rural areas. The first visits focused on the municipalities of between 500 and 8,000 inhabitants, although in a second phase the attention has been focused on the even smaller localities with less than 500 neighbors. In the words of the subdelegate Ángel Blanco: “Every time we notice a greater demand and expectation, so it is intended to reach the last corner of the province.”
SCHEDULE OF UPCOMING VISITS
“The Administration near you” continues its activity. Thus, the municipalities that will receive the visit of the technicians of the General Administration of the State in the coming days are the following:
- 12/19/2023 Matilla de Arzón, at 11 a.m.
- 9/01/204 Vineyards, at 10 a.m.
- 11/01/2024 Jambrina, 10 a.m.
HOW TO BENEFIT FROM THE “ADMINISTRATION NEAR YOU” SERVICE
The Government has signed an agreement with the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) to facilitate the participation of municipalities and local entities interested in this initiative and other similar ones whose main objective is the fight against depopulation. In this case it is intended to at least strengthen social and territorial cohesion, combat the digital divide and ensure equal opportunities between the city and rural areas when carrying out basic procedures with the State Administration.
The municipalities interested in this service to the citizen can request it through the Subdelegation of the Government where the day and time of displacement of the specialized unit will be specified. With this, the Government intends to bring the Central Administration of the State closer to all parts of the country, in its commitment to a decentralized state model.
