October 24, 2023.- The Secretariat of State for Migration has authorized the contracting of the execution of the work of the new plant building destined to the International Protection Reception Center (ICSC) in Soria, through an open procedure and urgent processing of the file, under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU.
The basic tender budget, including taxes, amounts to 15,792,640.65 euros; the execution period is 18 months. The new centre is intended to house 203 residents (194 + 9 accessible places) and consists of a Common Areas Building (administrative area, training, dining and kitchen, facilities, warehouses…), and a Residential Building (rooms, toilets, laundry…).
At the end of August 2022, the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration (MISSM) awarded Ley Arquitectura S.L.P the drafting of the Construction Project of the new floor building intended for a CAPI in Soria for an amount of 223,118 € and an execution period of four months.
Subsequently, at the end of October last year the MISSM formalized with the UTE APARECIGRA, and for an amount of 197,333.88 €, the complete Optional Direction (direction of work and execution of work) as well as the coordination of safety and health, during the duration of the work of the future CAPI deSoria.
The plot is located on the 19th plot of the SC SUR D-9 Viña el Cañuelo next to the Avda. of Europe of the city of Soria and occupies an area of 8,200 m2 according to topographic survey performed. The main building will have 7,000 m2 built, enough to cover the 203 residents’ places. In addition to residential areas, office and office areas, classrooms, workshops, multipurpose rooms, common areas, areas linked to the center’s internal operations, and the necessary parking spaces have been considered.
Based on the agreement between the Ministry of Inclusion and the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) to promote actions and programs that use sport as a tool for integrating refugees, the following sports spaces have been incorporated into the project:
- Gym covered with 1 muscle room (approx. 160 m2) and 1 room of collective activities (approx. 100 m2).
- Outdoor semi-track uncovered with 1 basketball basket (approx. 370 m2).
- Covered outdoor polyvalent space (approx. 154 m2).
- Outdoor polyvalent space discovered. (approx. 230 m2).
