The subdelegate of the Government presides over the local Security Commission for the celebration of Atalaya Rock

October 4, 2023.- The Deputy Delegate of the Government in Valladolid, Alicia Villar, and the Mayor of Pozal de Gallinas, Guillermo Alonso, co-chaired today the meeting of the local Security Commission to prepare the device that will be deployed in the town of Valladolid on October 14 in the face of the influx of public expected by the celebration of the heavy metal festival Atalaya Rock, which turns 17 years in this edition.
The Civil Guard will have a permanent patrol and two more available in the area to meet any demand related to the security of the event that is scheduled to begin at 20.30 and which can be attended by around a thousand people.
In addition, the mandatory private security in this type of event will be composed of a total of 10 professionals.
A Civil Protection device, composed of volunteers for the normal development of the festival, as well as a basic life support ambulance, is also prepared.

During the festival, a Violet Point will work at all times, signposted with staff to attend, inform and accompany any woman who may need help in the face of a sexual assault. The Government Subdelegation will provide the city council with the manual and all the material and information necessary to provide the service effectively.
This local Security Commission was attended, together with the deputy delegate and the mayor, by representatives of the Civil Guard and Civil Protection, both of the Board and the Government Delegation, as well as the organization of the event.
