September 25, 2023.- The Civil Guard of Soria seized a total of 28,180 fireworks of categories F1 and F2 on the occasion of the inspections carried out in the different stands and bazaars installed in the town of Ólvega on the occasion of the celebration of its patron saint's festivities.
The aforementioned equipment was located by personnel of the Prosecutor and Frontiers Detachment of the Soria Civil Guard Command in one of the vehicles used by the vendors, it was found that it lacked administrative authorization for its sale and that the vehicle did not keep the minimum security measures required for storage and/or transport, so it was seized.
These facts were reported to the Subdelegation of Government of Soria for alleged violations of Organic Law 4/2015, in relation to the current Regulation of pyrotechnic articles and cardboard.
The current regulation of pyrotechnic articles includes, among others, the following categories and ages of use of them:
- F1 or pyrotechnic articles of very low danger and negligible noise level, intended to be used in delimited areas, for use by persons over 12 years of age.
- F2 or pyrotechnic articles of low dangerousness and low noise, intended to be used in delimited areas, for use by persons over 16 years of age.
The Civil Guard recalls that according to current regulations the sale and supply of catalogued pyrotechnic devices is only authorized to those natural or legal persons who have an establishment authorized by Subdelegation of Government.
