September 12, 2023.- Ineco RuralTIC returns to the small municipalities of Spain. The engineering and consultancy of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, Ineco, has already opened the deadline for municipalities with less than 10,000 inhabitants to register for this pioneering program that will begin its second edition in November.
The company’s professionals become digital nomads to move to the selected municipalities and develop in the territory social and economic digitization tasks focused on local inhabitants and SMEs, while continuing to develop their daily work remotely. Thus, in addition to demonstrating that teleworking can become a powerful tool for dynamizing the rural world, digital nomads are made available to the municipality to help improve technology-related needs.
Social and economic digitization
Ineco RuralTIC is based on digitalization as a lever for social and economic transformation. Not in vain, the company has extensive experience in the sector thanks to a team dedicated to this field of more than 800 professionals and a wide business activity that has allowed it to become one of the main suppliers of technological services for the Administration.
The first axis of this initiative is social digitalization, with training and support in the use of new technologies for the inhabitants of rural areas, with special focus on the elderly. Thus, the digital nomads of Ineco put at the service of the inhabitants different face-to-face workshops, such as the management of online services for the realization of administrative procedures: medical appointment management, electronic banking… as well as training to know aspects of internet security or digital footprint. In addition, there are personalized attention windows according to the specific needs of the participants
The second axis, economic digitalization, provides support and advice to the rural business fabric, through digital positioning, with support for the creation of online services. In this case, the focus is on a practical application of tools that can optimize the activity of small and medium-sized companies, such as the opening of a website or the use of profiles in social networks for positioning in the digital world.
Second edition of a pioneering program
Ineco RuralTIC 2.0 is the new edition of this program that during the past year, over seven months, has managed to reach 39 municipalities thanks to 80 digital nomads that in a staggered way traveled about 60,000 kilometers. A work that deployed almost 350 digitization workshops throughout the national territory to reach more than 2,300 people, as well as 252 SMEs.
Open registrations
Ineco RuralTIC is aimed at all municipalities with less than 10,000 inhabitants that meet certain starting requirements: accommodation to host digital nomads and spaces for workshops, both with 4G connection.
The municipalities can register in the INECO website until September 30 to be able to evaluate your candidacy.
