September 12, 2023.- The second Sorian phase of the pilot program "The Administration near you" begins this autumn, initially in the 33 most populous rural municipalities of the first phase, for which the Subdelegation of the Government will contact the Municipalities so that they indicate what specific procedures their citizens demand and hold new face-to-face sessions and especially to process such requests "in situ". In addition, the Rural Single Demand program will be reported for those who do not have a terrestrial internet connection of more than 50 megas in rural areas, through which they will be able to contract a satellite connection.
Between November 22, 2022 and March 2 of this year the Subdelegation of the Government in Soria brought “The Administration near you” to 33 municipalities. Information sessions were held to facilitate the citizens present to obtain digital identification and signature tools such as the electronic certificate or the Cl@ve system, which give access to applications such as Citizen Folder and the possibility of carrying out procedures of all kinds by electronic means with the different Public Administrations. In this work, the officials travelled a total of 1842 kilometres on the Sorian roads.
‘The Administration Near You’ is an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Territorial Policy, together with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation. Under this name, a new way of doing AGE in small and medium-sized municipalities is synthesized.
In this sense, on November 17, 2022, a collaboration agreement was signed between the Ministry of Territorial Policy and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) in order to bring the General Administration of the State closer to the citizens, with the aim of making effective the right of access to all public services of citizens regardless of their place of residence. For this reason, the FEMP encouraged the municipalities to accede to this agreement to facilitate citizens to obtain means of identification and digital signature, as well as information on the most demanded services.
Unique Rural Demand can bring ultra-fast satellite internet to 65,724 Sorian cadastral plots
In the information sessions it will also have an impact on the dissemination of the Single Rural Demand program, an initiative that will allow to bring ultra-fast internet via satellite to those Sorian areas that do not have a terrestrial connection of more than 50 megas, and that amount to 65,724 cadastral plots identified.
The Rural Single Demand program is designed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation and financed with the funds of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, the so-called Spain Can Plan. Its objective is that citizens and companies in remote, sparse and sparsely populated areas can develop their professional and vital projects by accessing digital connectivity, key to social inclusion.
In this way, it will allow ultra-fast internet browsing at an affordable price to citizens and businesses. Specifically, it offers the possibility of having the Internet through the Hispasat satellite with at least 100 megabits per second, a download at a price of 35 euros per month.
You will have no additional expenses and you will have an aid of up to 600 euros for the cost of the installation. The coverage will reach one hundred percent of the population in those areas that do not have, as has already been pointed out, a fixed terrestrial technology connection at a minimum transmission rate of 50 megabits per second downwards.
The way to contract the service is through the website www.conectate35.es. You will have to indicate that it is a user, choose the province in which you live (in this case Soria) and the operator you prefer. From there this operator will take care of everything. The user only has to enjoy their quality internet connection without fuss at the price of 35 euros per month. The program will be in force until December 31, 2027 and is not subject to permanence.
From the Subdelegation of Government, expanded information on this UNICO-Rural Demand program was distributed by email to all municipalities of the province of Soria, on June 27.
This service also allows that once broadband connection is available through optical fiber or satellite, use the mobile phone service when they are connected to the router through WiFi (option “WiFi calls” or similar) even if they do not have mobile phone coverage, so that calls can be made and received using the mobile phone number when they are at home or in the vicinity thereof.
The program, at the national level, has an endowment of 76.3 million euros that the State Secretariat of Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructures has granted in aid to Hispasat.
