June 30, 2023.- The Official State Gazette (BOE) today publishes the call for grants from the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) for the year 2023, worth 20 million euros, for the financing of innovative projects of territorial transformation and fight against depopulation.
The call for proposals includes subsidies in three modalities: 16.2 million for local authorities, 1.2 million for non-profit entities and 2.6 million to boost the economic activity and support rural entrepreneurship, especially for women and young people.
These calls imply the consolidation of the program initiated in 2022, after the approval of the regulatory bases in December 2021, which have configured for the first time direct aid by the State focused on the demographic challenge and the fight against depopulation.
This subsidy programme promotes projects of socio-economic dynamisation and territorial revival, through the financing of actions that combine the economic, social and environmental dimensions, with special attention to the gender perspective and to groups such as the elderly or young people.
As it is collected in the Regulatory bases of the programThis aid promotes initiatives generated in the territories themselves, with innovative approaches to develop transformative projects for territorial cohesion and the fight against depopulation.
Applications must be submitted within 30 working days from Monday, July 3, and may be submitted at the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge’s e-office, accessible here.
