The State Security Forces and Bodies pay tribute to the Private Security sector in Zamora

• During the event, chaired by the Subdelegate of the Government, 9 honorable mentions were given to professionals who carry out their work in the province in close collaboration with the FCSE

June 22, 2023.- The subdelegate of the Government presided this morning the commemoration of Private Security Day. During the ceremony, the National Police Station of Zamora and the Civil Guard Command wanted to pay tribute to this sector, recognizing the transcendental work they carry out and their indisputable collaboration with the State Security Forces and Corps.

Throughout the morning, 9 honorable mentions have been given to directors, supervisors and technicians who carry out their work in different companies. Distinctions under the provisions of Royal Decree 2364/1994 approving the Regulation of Private Security and in whose article 66.3 it is established that “Private security personnel who excel in the performance of their functions and especially in collaboration with the Security Forces and Corps, may be distinguished with honorable mentions whose characteristics and procedure of concession will be regulated by the Ministry of Justice and Interior”.

According to the Annual Report 2022 of the Territorial Private Security Unit of the National Police, in the province of Zamora, some 237 persons provide Private Security services, mainly as security guards, although there are a total of 1,202 allotments for the different modalities (guards, explosives, escorts, security chiefs, directors and detectives).

Both the subdelegate of the Government and the senior officers of the Civil Guard and the National Police, have thanked the sector for its daily collaboration and have recognized the effort, commitment and loyalty of Zamorano professionals.
