Gamonal (Toledo).- The delegate of the Government of Spain, José Pablo Sabrido, has visited how the works are being carried out to condition the intersections of the N-502 between the kilometers 104.75 and 105.5 with the construction of a link in the kilometer 105.17, at the height of the town of Gamonal, in the municipality of Talavera de la Reina (Toledo).
A total of 5,919,078 euros will be ready on 30 November and will serve more than 5,000 vehicles a day. They include small dismounts and embankments, as well as the placement of the different layers of firm and signage.
José Pablo Sabrido has been satisfied to visit these works “because this is the mission of politics, politics is not entering into useless debates and controversies, it is trying to solve problems for citizens, and that is what the Government of Spain is in”.
“The important thing in politics is, when citizens have a problem, to solve it, and that is what the government of Pedro Sánchez is in,” the delegate said, concluding that “we will not enter into pointless polemics that do not give any solution to the citizen.”
The government delegate has been accompanied by the subdelegate in the province of Toledo Carlos Ángel Devia, the pedantic mayor of Gamonal, Álvaro Jerónimo, and the mayor of Velada, Gustavo Acosta, among other institutional representatives.
Jerónimo thanked the representatives of the Government of Spain for the visit to the work, which is “a more than evident improvement, an extraordinary performance”, pointing out that “the accesses are going to be improved”, while Acosta has opted to focus on that “it is going to improve the safety of all the inhabitants and of all the drivers who pass through here”.
About the works
The works began in late 2023, receiving a strong boost in recent months, where they have focused on the bulk of the construction after having overcome the paralysis of the project by the competition of creditors of the previous awarding company.
It includes the construction of an underground passage for the transit of people and livestock, as well as two roundabouts that will facilitate the entry and exit movements to the Toledo municipalities of Gamonal and Velada.
In addition, since June, the provisional diversion of traffic authorized to continue with the works of execution of the infrastructure is operational, which will allow to undertake a new phase of the works in a stretch of 110 meters that affects the current road of entry south to Velada (Toledo).
