Toledo.- The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, José Pablo Sabrido, has presided over the reception of the 141 new civil guards that are incorporated in the province of Toledo.
In an event held at the Toledo Command and in which he was accompanied by the subdelegate of the Government in the province, Carlos Ángel Devia and the Acting Colonel of the Second Zone of the Civil Guard, Jesús Manuel Rodrigo, the delegate of the Government has conveyed his congratulations for having reached this point: “And now, in addition, you arrive at a time when you are going to put into practice what you have learned in theory.”
Sabrido stressed that the new students have chosen “a profession of commitment, of public service, and serving is the greatest honor that can fit us as people.” In this regard, he stressed that the students of the Civil Guard represent “the best of this institution”.
On the other hand, the government delegate has welcomed them to a “safe region, with crime rates below, practically ten points, the national average. And that is thanks, fundamentally, to the efforts of the State Security Forces and Corps in what you are going to be an essential part of.”
Sabrido also pointed out that “social welfare is essential, and security, the defense of rights and freedoms is fundamental,” highlighting the importance that new students of the Civil Guard play in this regard.
For his part, Colonel Jesus Manuel Rodrigo wanted to highlight the diversity of the new students: “The age, provenance and personal circumstances of each of you are very different, but everyone during this internship stage will have the opportunity to apply what they have learned to continue training.” In addition, he urged them to continue their training, which “does not end in the academy, it continues in each service, in each patrol and in each intervention.”
About the New Civil Guards
The students are components of the 131st and 172nd promotion of access to the Cabos y Guardias Scale from the Civil Guard Guard Academy based in Baeza (Jaén) and the College of Young Guards 'Duque de Ahumada' located in the Madrid town of Valdemoro.
These practices aim to obtain the knowledge and professional experience in various operational areas, necessary to complete their training and finally acquire the employment of civil guard.
