Toledo.- The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, José Pablo Sabrido, has attended the inauguration of the police coordination convention between Civil Guard and Local Police of the localities corresponding to the territorial demarcations of Talavera de la Reina and Torrijos, in Toledo.

There, accompanied by the chief colonel of the Civil Guard Command of Toledo, José María Gil Closet, he defended the importance of institutional coordination to improve the service to the citizen, especially in terms of security.

Sabrido has stressed that the collaboration will guarantee that the work “will be much more successful”, so he has asked both the Civil Guard and the participating Local Police “to share your successes and your failures, and that you put together what serves you to improve the service”, in addition to thanking the work of the State Security Forces, which have “a fundamental mission”.

The government delegate concluded the intervention by praising the situation in Castilla-La Mancha in terms of security, which has “crime rates well below the national average”, with special attention to cases of gender violence, a question “very important for the Delegation”, for which Sabrido has asked “the maximum of collaboration and coordination”.

On the coordination convention between Civil Guard and Local Police

This coordination convention between the Civil Guard and the Local Police is the third edition of a series of formations that the benevolent corps is offering, and whose two previous instructions were carried out in the Toledo towns of Illescas and Ocaña.

This edition was attended by chiefs and commanders of local police of the municipalities corresponding to these territorial companies, units designated by the respective Local Police Headquarters, Officers and Post Commanders of the Civil Guard of the Companies of Talavera de la Reina and Torrijos and personnel of the Headquarters of Operations and Specialized Units of the Command.

The convention aims to hold joint police coordination sessions between the Civil Guard and the Local Police of the different municipalities of the province of Toledo, aimed at strengthening operational police cooperation, exchange of professional experiences and improvement of procedures.

The objective is to promote mutual knowledge of operational capabilities and improve communication channels between police forces. Topics to be addressed include urban road safety and research capabilities, collaboration agreements and operating protocols, or experiences and good practices within each body.
