The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, José Pablo Sabrido, has congratulated, recognized and thanked the Civil Guard in the act of commemoration of the 182 anniversary of its foundation, which has begun remembering Germán and Jerónimo, the two Civil Guards who died in Huelva.
Toledo.- The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, José Pablo Sabrido, has congratulated, recognized and thanked the Civil Guard in the act of commemoration of the 182 anniversary of its foundation, which has begun remembering Germán and Jerónimo, the two Civil Guards who died in Huelva.
In his speech during the event, Sabrido wanted to congratulate the Civil Guard for its evolution since its foundation: “Today we are talking about cyber-command, 1,570 tablets or mobile citizens’ offices, but the foundations have not changed.”
“Honor as a currency’, integrity, loyalty and sacrifice, along with professionalism, in the fulfillment of duty, something as essential as guaranteeing the freedom and rights of Spaniards and the security of all citizens,” he said.
He has also expressed his gratitude because the crime rate in the scope of the Civil Guard is 13.12 points below the national rate, while the rate of cases resolved is higher in the region than in the rest of the country.
In this sense, it has highlighted the important investment of the Government of Spain regarding the Civil Guard in Castilla-La Mancha, where the economic amount exceeds 35 million euros in recent years and the increase of the workforce in 2026 is 4%.
On the other hand, the government delegate thanked the body for its commitment “to continue fulfilling more effectively the mission entrusted to you by Article 104 of the Constitution”, in a close and human work “that is rewarded with the gratitude of the citizen, with the social legitimacy that you have and grant you”.
Finally, Sabrido thanked the winners “for a lifetime of service”, especially reminding the families of the troops and focusing on the 464 women who serve in the Civil Guard in the area of Castilla-La Mancha.
The Civil Guard delivers 23 recognitions
An act in which various decorations have also been given. Lieutenant Colonel María Soledad Gómez Torres and the director of the FIIAP, the Foundation for the Internationalization of Public Administrations, former delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, Francisco Tierraseca, have been decorated with the Silver Cross of the Order of Merit of the Civil Guard body.
In addition, 16 members of the Civil Guard have been decorated with the Cross of the Order of Merit of the body of the Civil Guard with white badge and another four members have received recognition for the transition to a situation from reserve to retiree.
On the other hand, Don Vicente Martín Fernández has received the Medal of Merit for Road Safety in his bronze category with blue badge and Lieutenant Colonel Verónica María Guillén Malagón has also received the award of a recognition.
The event was attended by the Minister of Education, FP and Sports, Milagros Tolón, interim head of the second area of Castilla-La Mancha, Colonel Jesús Manuel Rodrigo, the regional government’s Minister of Development and Bishop Francisco César García Magán, among other judicial and military authorities, responsible for the National Police, the Civil Guard and the army.
