Sabrido highlights that 2,074 people will be hired in the agricultural sector thanks to the aid of the Government of Spain

The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, José Pablo Sabrido, has approved the minutes of the Regional Commission for the Follow-up of the Special Plan for Employment in Rural Areas after the meeting.
The total amount approved amounts to 12.15 million euros to alleviate rural unemployment
The government delegate puts in value the 35 million euros that the State transfers to the region for active employment policies
Toledo.- The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, José Pablo Sabrido, has approved the minutes of the Regional Commission for the Follow-up of the Special Plan for Employment in Rural Areas after the meeting. An amount that amounts to 12.15 million euros and that will allow the hiring of 2,074 people in the agricultural sector in 2026.
In this sense, Sabrido has highlighted the reduction of unemployment in Castilla-La Mancha in the agricultural sector thanks to this type of plan. Since 2018, agricultural unemployment has fallen from 12,531 people to 4,692 according to December data, which represents a drop of 62.56% of the total, which has also allowed agricultural unemployment to stand at only 4% of the regional total.
This 12.15 million euros is granted to the municipalities for the hiring of personnel after the presentation of 352 projects in total, largely related to the environment to improve the road conditions of the localities.
“The particularity of these employment plans is that 100% is provided by the State. Both the Interprofessional Minimum Wage, plus the costs of Social Security. You don’t have to put anything in any other administration,” Sabrido said.
Provincial breakdown
The province most benefited from this aid will be Ciudad Real, which will receive a total of 5,129,659.62 euros. This will allow the hiring of 869 people. Up to 97 municipalities have joined the plan with the presentation of 99 projects.
Albacete is the second province that will receive the most economic amount with 3,215,059.56 euros. The number of people to be hired will rise to 543 after the presentation of 83 projects in total by 70 municipalities throughout the province.
Thirdly, there is the province of Toledo, with an amount of 2,106,092.49 euros. 356 people will be hired after 78 municipalities have submitted 88 projects in total.
Cuenca is the fourth province that will receive the most aid, with 1,740,750.48 euros, which will allow the hiring of 294 people after the presentation of 71 projects by 46 municipalities.
And finally, the province of Guadalajara receives 23,683.68 euros after 11 municipalities have presented 11 projects. In total, 12 people will be hired.
35 million from the Government of Spain for regional employment management
The government delegate also wanted to highlight that Castilla-La Mancha receives from the Government of Spain 35,105,088 euros destined for the Execution of Employment Opportunities of Axis 3. In 2018, that credit was 17,895,929 euros.
“These funds, which are directly managed, are still part of what the State contributes to the autonomous communities, since, apart from the financing agreement, funds from the different ministries are also distributed through the sectoral tables,” said Sabrido.
Finally, he stressed that “for the objective of employment, Castilla-La Mancha receives 35 million euros of which the financing to the State and the execution to the autonomous community correspond”.
