Ruidera (Ciudad Real).- The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, Milagros Tolón, today presented the safety device prepared on the occasion of the summer season in the Natural Park of Las Lagunas de Ruidera, which will begin operating tomorrow July 1 and will end on September 15.
Milagros Tolón recalled that this device coordinated by the Civil Guard “is very important, since an influx of about 15,000 people is expected during the working days and more than 20,000 people the bridges and weekends, when even more surveillance will be reinforced. The main objectives are to guarantee safety, maintain order, order traffic on the days of greatest influx and prevent environmental crimes such as fires, spills…”
Rest in a safe environment
Two and a half months in which the different units of the Civil Guard “will be active 24 hours a day and seven days a week. So I thank both the Civil Guard and the other emergency teams for their dedication and dedication, which allow families to enjoy rest days in a safe environment. I am very clear that we are in the best hands,” said the government delegate.
Milagros Tolón has also called on the people who are going to enjoy this space to “respect the other users and the natural environment. Just as I ask for the utmost caution to enjoy in total safety.”
Civil Guard Units
The Civil Guard Units of Ciudad Real and Albacete that will participate in this security device are Citizen Security, SEPRONA (Nature Protection Service), Judicial Police, Information, Police Teams Specialists in Aeronautical Management and Operational Security PEGASO (drones), GATI (Information Technology Support Group), OPC (Peripheral Information Office), Traffic Subsector of Ciudad Real and Albacete, GEAS (Special Group of Cavalry Activities).
Along with the delegate of the Government have been the subdelegates of the Government of Spain in the provinces of Ciudad Real and Albacete, David Broceño and Miguel Juan Espinosa; the Commanders of the Civil Guard in Albacete and Ciudad Real, Colonel Jesus Manuel Rodrigo and Colonel Juan Antonio Valle, respectively; the Mayor of Ruidera, Josefa Moreno; the Mayor of Villahermosa, Ángel Cano; the Mayor of Ossa de Montiel, Alejandro Chillerón; the Mayor of Al-María, Meralba.
The Lagoons of Ruidera, great biological wealth
The Lagoons of Ruidera are a total of 15 lagoons that house a great biological wealth, with a great diversity of species of animals and plants. You can do activities such as hiking and water sports, there are also bathing areas during the summer and good places for sport fishing. They have an area of 3,772 hectares and are located on the borders of the provinces of Ciudad Real and Albacete, integrated in the towns of Ossa de Montiel (Albacete) and Argamasilla de Alba, Villahermosa and Alhambra (all three in Ciudad Real).
