Letur (Albacete).- The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, Milagros Tolón, participated this Monday in the coordination meeting of the administrations for the recovery and reconstruction of Letur (Albacete) after the passage of the dana last October that married 6 dead and significant damages in the municipality.
Milagros Tolón has deducted the aid granted and approved by the Government of Spain and the actions it has carried out to repair the serious damage caused. “The Government of Spain has already allocated more than 25 million euros for the reconstruction of Letur and we will continue to mobilize that they are necessary for the complete recovery of the municipality,” he said.
Among the aid allocated to Letur was the EUR 11 million (EUR 10,961,823.45) for the reconstruction of infrastructure, facilities, equipment and municipal services. A line that for the first time covers 100% of the works and whose costs will be delivered in advance to local entities.
Also for the first time, municipalities are allowed to sign an agreement with TRAGSA so that it is this public company that awards and executes the works. Likewise, the ordinary deadlines in the different phases are extended, so that the municipalities have easier to complete them.
Milagros Tolón has recalled the Employment Plan granted by the Government of Spain through the State Employment Service to the City Council for an amount of 775,000 € for the hiring of 66 people for 6 months for the repair and repair of different spaces.
It has also highlighted 590,000 euros in direct aid for companies and self-employed workers paid by the Tax Agency; the 3 million euros from the Ministry of Agriculture for direct aid and the repair of agricultural roads and irrigation, or the 2.4 million euros for emergency works in the Letur stream carried out by the Segura Hydrographic Confederation and the Taibilla River Water Station.
Unpublished measures
“The Government of Pedro Sánchez has mobilized more than 25 million euros to alleviate the effects of the damage, direct aid and the reconstruction of Letur and has done so quickly, putting in place unprecedented measures that are applied in record time,” reiterated the delegate, who has referred to institutional collaboration as a tool “that allows us to be more effective in providing answers to citizens.”
