Azuqueca de Henares (Guadalajara).- Her Majesty the Queen visited this Wednesday the CEIP "Maestra Placida Herranz" of Azuqueca de Henares (Guadalajara), an event in which she was accompanied by the Minister of Education, Vocational Training and Sports, Pilar Alegría, and the delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, Milagros Tolón.
During the visit, the activities carried out in this educational center of Castilla-La Mancha have been shown, where teaching is given to students from three to twelve years old, with 29 units (three units in each level except in 4 years and 2 years of Primary that have four groups) and about 730 students.
The heads of the center have explained to the authorities that the pedagogical actions of the CEIP “Maestra Placida Herranz” are structured around a communicative, active and participatory didactic methodology, and directed to the achievement of the objectives, especially in those aspects more directly related to the key competences, seeking the integration of the different experiences and learnings of the students. In addition, it takes into account their different learning rhythms, promoting the ability to learn for themselves and promoting teamwork.
The event was also attended by the President of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page; the Deputy Delegate of the Government in Guadalajara, Susana Cabellos; the Minister of Education, Amador Pastor; the President of the Provincial Council, José Luis Vega; and the Mayor of Azuqueca de Henares, Miguel Óscar Aparicio, among other authorities.
