Toledo.- The Minister of Equality, Ana Redondo, and the delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, Milagros Tolón, met today in Guadalajara and reviewed the projects that the central government has in the field of equality in the autonomous community. A meeting in which the subdelegate of the Government of Spain in the province of Guadalajara, Mercedes Gómez, has also participated.
Subsequently, they visited together with the Minister of Equality of Castilla-La Mancha, Sara Simón; and the delegate of the Board in Guadalajara, José Luis Escudero; the Center of Integral Attention to Sexual Violence, whose works have been completed and which will be opened soon. They have attended to the media there. “Apply chainsaw to women’s rights”
She has insisted that they do everything possible because we live in societies free of gender or sexual violence and that in this center (at the end of the year it is also expected that two other similar ones will be inaugurated in Cuenca and Ciudad Real) women will be given support and accompaniment so that they can recover from the violence suffered. “The Spanish Government is on the side of women, despite the denial ideas that come from the hand of VOX and the PP, who apply the chainsaw and the cuts in the rights of women and the LGTBI community.”
Afterwards, the minister, the government delegate and the councillor held a meeting with women’s associations in Guadalajara and nearby towns. There, Milagros Tolón spoke of “the importance of feminist associationism throughout history, the importance of this type of meeting for co-governance and the importance of breaking glass ceilings”.
