Toledo.- The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, Milagros Tolón, met this Tuesday with representatives of the Table of the Third Sector of Castilla-La Mancha, to whom she has transferred the support of the central Executive to the entities that make up this platform in defense of equality and vulnerable people.
This meeting is the delegate’s first contact with the Third Sector Bureau, a meeting in which Milagros Tolón has conveyed the firm commitment of the Spanish Government to the development of social and economic policies aimed at defending the rights of the most disadvantaged groups.
“Social policies are the main axis of action of the Government of Spain and I have transferred it to the representatives of the Table of the Third Sector of Castilla-La Mancha”, said Milagros Tolón, who has said that from the Delegation “we are going to make available to the Third Sector the resources of the General Administration of the State for the benefit of the entities that work, as the Government of Spain does, to defend the rights of the groups and the most vulnerable people”.
For his part, the president of the Bureau of the Third Sector of Castilla-La Mancha, José Antonio Romero, said that the objective of the meeting has been to transfer to the delegate “all the issues that the different entities that are part of the Bureau such as foreigners, unaccompanied minors or accessibility to the facilities and services of the General State Administration”, among other issues.
Both have favored finding spaces for collaboration and joint work to advance the objectives shared by the Government of Spain and social organizations.

The meeting was attended by José Antonio Romero, President of the Third Sector Bureau of Castilla-La Mancha; José Martínez, President of ONCE; María José Soto, Provincial Coordinator of the Toledo Red Cross; Marce de la Vega, Jurist of CERMI CLM; Raúl del Viso, Manager of EAPN CLM; Manuel Lorenzo, Coordinating President of ONGD CLM, and Javier Núñez, Platform Child Organizations of CLM.
The Table of the Third Social Sector of Castilla-La Mancha is a platform that emerged from civil society in 2016 with the firm purpose of working in the defense of social rights and values, as well as ensuring the interests of the most disadvantaged people and groups, in order to achieve a civil society in solidarity and articulation.
It is composed of outstanding organizations from the region such as, the National Organization of the Blind of Spain (ONCE), the Spanish Committee of Representatives of Persons with Disabilities (CERMI-CLM), the European Network for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion (EAPN-CLM), the Red Cross, the Platform of Children’s Organizations (POI CLM), the Coordinator of ONGD CLM and the Association of Castilla-La Mancha of residences and care services for the elderly (ACESCAM).
