Toledo.- On March 25, the Official State Gazette published the resolution the Secretary of State for Tourism for the distribution of the credits derived from the agreement of the Tourism Sector Conference for the distribution of the Financing Line for Energy Efficiency and Circular Economy Projects of Tourism Companies, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
The total amount of this financing line is 119,600,000 euros, of which 5,807,154 euros are intended for tourist companies in Castilla-La Mancha. The eligible actions should be dedicated to improving energy efficiency, waste management measures, promoting local supplies and improving lighting, air-conditioning and thermal storage facilities and equipment.
The delegate of the Government of Spain in Castilla-La Mancha, Milagros Tolón, has pointed out that this line of subsidies is in addition to other programs that the Government of Spain has launched “to improve the competitiveness of the tourism sector in our region and move towards a model of sustainable development and valuing our cultural and environmental heritage”.
In this regard, he stressed the will of the Ministry of Tourism to “work together with the autonomous community, with companies and with social agents so that Castilla-La Mancha reaches its objectives in the tourism sector, strengthening the quality of employment and services provided to visitors, with respect for our ecological wealth and natural resources”.
