The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) has awarded an amount of 460,000 euros (VAT included) for the structural rehabilitation works of the firm, between the 422,500 and 425,330 kilometers of the N‐322 road, corresponding to the Villatoya Variant, in the province of Albacete.
The firm rehabilitation will consist mainly of the initial milling of localized areas, followed by the sealing of cracks and fissures. Next, we will proceed to the extension of asphaltic risks and the new bituminous mixtures.
There will also be the repainting of road markings and cebreings, and the disassembly and placement of cylindrical beacons, where appropriate. The height of the curbs of the longitudinal drainage elements will also be adjusted in those areas of sinking where there are sinks and the replacement of sound bumps.
This is a 4.06 km long variant that runs through the west of the town of Villatoya, until connecting again with the N-322 in the province of Valencia once the Cabriel River has been overcome by a viaduct. With this variant, it was possible to avoid the passage of traffic through the locality, a crossing characterized by the existence of a curve and counter-curve of radius of 21 and 34 m and roadway without arches.
The action is included within the conservation and maintenance program of the State Road Network, in which Mitma has invested more than 180 million euros since June 2018 in the province of Albacete, which generates a significant boost to improve the quality of service of the existing state road infrastructure.
