- The government delegate in Cantabria visited this Friday the renovated facilities at the Civil Guard Command
The government delegate in Cantabria, Pedro Casares, stressed that the Civil Guard has in the autonomous community the “most modern” Complex Operational Center of the Spanish Command thanks to the recent renovation of its facilities.
Casares praised it this Friday after the visit to this center, which is the “brain and heart” from which the Civil Guard operates.
The representative of the State visited the renovated facilities together with the head of the body in the community, Lieutenant Colonel Julio Postigo; the Counselor of the Presidency, Isabel Urrutia; the provincial head of Traffic, José Miguel Tolosa; and the director of 112 Cantabria, Samuel Ruiz.
The delegate stressed that this Center is “an essential infrastructure” for the work of the Civil Guard since, from here, all interventions in the field of citizen security, traffic, environment, aid or rescue are coordinated.
“Here we attend the calls to the citizens at 062, we receive the notices of 112 and from here we coordinate the patrols in service for better and faster attention,” said Casares, who has highlighted that the thirty agents who work in this unit now have a more modern and functional space that improves the quality of the service to the citizen.
He has detailed that this renovation of the facilities of the Complex Operational Center has involved an investment of almost 100,000 euros by the Ministry of Interior, through the General Directorate of the Civil Guard, and “Cantabria has the most modern Operational Center” in the country thanks to this action.
In addition to its modernization, Casares has pointed out that one of the main objectives of this renovation has been to improve the working conditions of the civil guards who provide their service in this unit, with new air conditioning, soundproofing and individual lighting, and the operator positions have also been increased, from five to six.
In addition, within the Complex Operational Center, a crisis room has been created where meetings can be accommodated.
DIRECT LINK WITH 112 AND OTHER BODIES
The government delegate has highlighted the work that is done from this center as a link with the emergency room of 112 Cantabria, the National Police and the Local Police of the different municipalities.
“From here, the Civil Guard provides permanent service 365 days a year, an annual average of about 80,000 calls is served and about 24,000 patrols of Citizen Security, Traffic and Seprona units are coordinated,” said Casares.
From the room of the Complex Operational Center there is a direct link with the patrols through the SIRDEE (State Digital Radiocommunication System) system and real-time information of the positioning of the patrols is obtained through GPS, which facilitates the attention of the incidents by the nearest patrols.
There are different platforms and computer bases, highlighting SIGO (Integrated Operational Management System), a computer tool of the Civil Guard, which among other functions facilitates the consultation of police data of people or vehicles, in response to requests from patrols.
There is also access to the Integral System of Cases of Gender Violence; the SENECA application, a communication system where the different security bodies are coordinated with 112, and the management of incidents that citizens issue through the Alertcops app, having a chat to communicate with them.
