The Government Delegation in Cantabria has organized for this coming Tuesday, October 7, a public event with the Ambassador of Palestine in Spain, Husni Abdel Wahed.
The government delegate in Cantabria, Pedro Casares, will present the Palestinian ambassador and will participate in this event that aims to be a meeting with the citizens of Cantabria.
The event will take place from 5.15 p.m. in the Juan de la Cosa room of the Government Delegation in Cantabria, located on Calvo Sotelo 25 Street in Santander.
Casares explained that the Government Delegation promoted this meeting with the ambassador to “recognize the solidarity of the Cantabrians and Spaniards with the Palestinian people.”
“After almost two years in which the people of the Gaza Strip are being devastated and massacred by Israel’s disproportionate military force, the Spanish Government is leading the political and humanitarian response to this genocide,” he said.
He has pointed out that more than 66,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza and has again called for “peace and the defense of human rights” and for an end to the armed conflict, the establishment of humanitarian corridors to help the Palestinian people, as well as for the materialization of the political solution of the two states.
With this act, the Delegation of the Government of Spain in Cantabria opens to the citizens with an act in which the Ambassador of Palestine will tell first-hand what is being lived in Gaza for almost two years.
To conclude, the government delegate recalled that Spain was one of the first countries to recognize the State of Palestine and its ambassador is accredited oficialmente.Texto
