A total of 42 student guards will be incorporated from the month of October to different units thus initiating the second phase of their training period.
On this occasion, the objective has been to prioritize the presence of student guards in territorial units of citizen security, making a special impact in Spain of the demographic challenge. So much so that the incorporation of these guards will mean a significant improvement in coverage in this Autonomous Community reaching 95.96% on average.
In addition, if you consider the Zones in their entirety, together with the Command of Ceuta and that of Melilla, the increase in coverage since June stands at 1.56 points. In this way, the global coverage rate with respect to the catalog grows up to 90%.
This number of trainees represents an increase of 24 guards compared to the previous year, when 18 people joined.
The students of the promotions 129º of the Academy of Guards of Baeza and 170º of the College of Young Guards of Valdemoro continue their training with an internship period that will last 40 weeks.
During this time, in addition, a small number of students will also develop part of their practices in units in some specialties deployed throughout the national territory, such as, for example, the Traffic Group.
New public employment offer 2024
In this regard, last June a new offer of public employment was approved that will allow a total of 2,721 student guards, the highest figure since 2009, to be incorporated into the training centers once the competitive examination process is concluded.
