Along these lines, the Government Delegation in Cantabria has prepared a program of activities that starts on June 10, at 10:00 am at the headquarters of the AEMET (Ricardo Lorenzo s/n), with an Open Day that includes a talk about the Agency, its structure, the role of observation and prediction, as well as a brief presentation of the Territorial Delegation and its organization; a visit to the meteorological garden and the radio station, at 12:00 am; and to conclude, at 13:00 hours, a visit to the Prediction and Monitoring Group (GPV).
For its part, on June 11, the Civil Guard Command will give from 9:00 a.m. a Day against hate crimes aimed at NGOs, which will take place at the headquarters of the Delegation (C/Calvo Sotelo, 25).
The following day, on Wednesday, June 12, the headquarters of the Government Delegation will also host several activities: on the one hand, the General Directorate of Traffic will install a stand where citizens can learn about the services of the Electronic Headquarters of the DGT and the operation of the MiDGT App.
Starting at 10.30 a.m., a talk will be given with the aim of bringing the uses of e-government closer to the efforts to be made by foreign people. In the afternoon, from 4:00 p.m., an activity is scheduled, in collaboration with the Federation of Associations of Deaf People of Cantabria (FESCAN), which aims to provide deaf people with access to e-government and applications that may be useful.
On June 13, the Unit against Gender Violence of the Delegation will offer a Training Day to lawyers and lawyers of the Office of Violence against Women, which will take place at 4:30 p.m., at the headquarters of the Government Delegation.
Bringing the administration closer to the citizenry
The delegate of the Government Gómez de Diego has highlighted the importance of this type of initiatives to "bring the Administration closer to the citizens and promote transparency and participation". “It is important that citizens feel they are an active part of the Administration and that they know their rights and obligations,” said Gómez de Diego, encouraging citizens to participate in the activities.
"It's a good opportunity to get to know up close how the administration works and how we can make use of the services it offers," he added.
