The Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda (MIVAU) has concluded an agreement with the Autonomous Community of Cantabria, to finance the construction of 170 homes in energy-efficient buildings intended for social rent. - 58 homes in two performances in Reinosa.
- 30 homes in two performances in Polanco.
- 28 homes in Santoña.
- 27 homes in two performances in Torrelavega.
- 9 homes in two performances in Laredo.
- 8 homes in Santillana del Mar.
- 7 homes in Piélagos.
- 3 homes in Marina de Cudeyo.
New agreements
Through this aid plan, MIVAU aims to finance the increase in the public housing stock for social rent or affordable housing, through new construction promotions on publicly owned land. These homes will be part of the public park for a minimum period of 50 years and their consumption of non-renewable primary energy must be at least 20% lower than the requirements required in the Technical Building Code. The works must be completed by June 30, 2026.
For this program, endowed with 1 billion euros, 6.5 million euros was transferred to the Autonomous Community of Cantabria in the year 2022, and the financial commitment has been formalized from the annuality of the year 2023 for the same amount. The assistance provided is up to 700 euros per square meter of useful living space with a maximum of 50,000 euros per house.
