The Cantabrian Hydrographic Confederation has begun maintenance and conservation work in the innominate stream, in the vicinity of the town of Trasvilla, in the municipality of Villafufre.
In the middle section of the stream there is a deposit of vegetable remains of large dimensions that completely blinds the section of the channel. It is proposed the conditioning of the current from the vicinity of the town of Trasvilla until its confluence with the stream of La Plata.
The actions, with a planned investment of € 29,000, aim to guarantee the drainage capacity of the stream and avoid future stoppages. To do this, we proceed to remove the deposits of plant remains and adapt the bushy vegetation of the margins. As previous works, a clearing is carried out to allow the entry of machinery and the rescue, through electric fishing, of the ichthyological fauna present in the area of action for its subsequent release.
This work is carried out through the public company Tragsa within the Maintenance and Conservation of Waterways Program developed by the Cantabrian Hydrographic Confederation outside urban areas, in which the conservation and maintenance of waterways are the responsibility of the municipalities.
