The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) reopens traffic today, Saturday, June 10 from 10:00 a.m., the Las Caldas tunnel on the N-611 road, in Cantabria, once the main works of modernization and improvement have been completed.
During the months in which the tunnel has remained closed to traffic, important work has been carried out, such as the waterproofing of the tunnel, the installation of lighting, the improvement of containment systems and the rolling layer.
The works continue, although the few remaining works are compatible with traffic, so caution is requested.
This action is included within the contract, formalized by Mitma last year for 31.3 million euros, for the modernization and improvement of several tunnels on the A-67 and the N-611.
The works will be financed from the Recovery Plan, which has 357 million euros (VAT not included) to adapt the infrastructures to European regulations and improve the protection of fauna and vulnerable users.
