The delegate of the Government in Cantabria, Ainoa Quiñones, has highlighted the “generosity” of the agents of the Civil Guard who work to make “the welfare and progress prevail” of the citizens of Cantabria and the whole of Spain.
“If anything is recognized in these 179 years of history, it is your generosity in making the well-being and progress of the men and women who make homeland prevail over any other interest. Your vocation of public service is praised by all of us who witness every day at your side the work you carry out with care and dedication,” said the delegate at the commemoration of the 179 Anniversary of the Civil Guard Foundation.
Quiñones has participated this Friday in this event that annually celebrates the body in Cantabria and in which the acting president of Cantabria, Miguel Ángel Revilla, and the colonel head of the Civil Guard of Cantabria, Antonio Orantos, have also taken part.
The delegate of the Government has pointed out that the commemoration of the foundation of the Civil Guard is “always an important day both for the personnel of the body and for the whole of Cantabrian society that feels admiration, respect and affection for this body.”
“The capacity for dedication, the rigor in the exercise of your responsibilities, the sense of duty and the effort with which each day, 365 days a year, you dedicate yourselves to serving your country, is the best honor, the best medal, the best recognition for each and every one of you and yourselves, but it is also the greatest pride for the whole of the citizenry,” added Quiñones.
