The four new chief inspectors assigned to Santander and Torrelavega have taken office this morning at the Superior Police Headquarters of Cantabria.
The event began at 11:00 a.m., with the welcome of the Superior Chief of Police of Cantabria, Dª. Carmen Martínez Ruiz, who has taken the floor highlighting that this is an act of special relevance since it strengthens the command structure of this Superior Headquarters with four chief inspectors who will occupy the maximum responsibilities in their specialty, two assigned in Santander; and another two, assigned in Torrelavega, meaning the promotion that two of the chief inspectors from this Headquarters have achieved, thus ending their commitment to the staff, and with two new chief inspectors who assume the maximum police responsibilities in Torrelavega (Citizen Security and Judicial Police).
In the Higher Police Headquarters of Cantabria, the chief inspector, Mrs. María Aranzazu Renedo Muñoz, occupying the position of Technician in Occupational Risk Prevention, and the chief inspector, D. Javier Alles Dobarganes as the new Chief of Section of the Provincial Citizen Security Brigade.
En la Comisaría Local de Torrelavega, se incorporan la inspectora jefa, Dña. Sandra Rojo Hermosa, as Head of the Local Citizen Security Brigade; and the Chief Inspector, Mrs. Noelia López Gómez, head of the Local Judicial Police Brigade.
A man and three women, newly promoted to the rank of chief inspector with extensive professional experience in different areas, are incorporated into the command structure of this Superior Headquarters.
To end the event, the Delegate of the Government in Cantabria, Mrs. Ainoa Quiñones Montellano, has congratulated the four new chief inspectors of the National Police. “I am convinced that this rise in the executive scale of the National Police will be a tremendous pride but also a tremendous responsibility, for which from here today I wish you luck, success and successes in the tasks, which will also be the successes and successes of the whole society of Cantabria,” he said.
Quiñones has highlighted, once again, “the pride of having three new chief inspectors in the workforce of Cantabria, where 18.76% are women, above the national average that is 16.9%”.
“Of the total of 163 new Chief Inspectors in all of Spain, who are women by 18.4%, 30 in total, shows that we still have a long way to go, not only in the security forces, but also in society, to achieve full, real and effective equality in which we are represented in all areas of society in the same 50% of the population that we are,” he said.
To conclude, the Delegate of the Government in Cantabria has transferred to the agents of the National Police “the pride of all the Cantabrians and Cantabrians, and of the Spanish citizenship as a whole, for your work, your tenacity, your effort and responsibility to guarantee the safety of all”.
