The Government Delegation in Cantabria is preparing a new day of open doors for Tuesday, March 21, within the framework of the events of Open Administration Week 2023. The objective of this day is to show the work that is done in the Delegation and to bring the Administration closer to the citizens.
The attendees will have the opportunity to know the different areas of work that are integrated in the Government Delegation and that have to do with matters such as the promotion of equality, the social and labor integration of foreigners, the use of new technologies or the possibilities of support for those who cannot use them, the incorporation of new personnel to the public sector or citizen participation in the different competences of the Administration.
The day will take place from 11 a.m. in the morning at the headquarters of the Government Delegation, located at 25 Calvo Sotelo Street in Santander, and will be inaugurated by the Government Delegate in Cantabria, Ainoa Quiñones.
It will have the intervention of the Secretary General of the Government Delegation, Francisco García Villa, who will not only report on the services provided to the citizen from the Delegation but will also highlight the implementation of the Plan ‘The Administration near you’ to bring these services closer to the municipalities of between 500 and 8,000 inhabitants, which in the case of Cantabria are 68 of the 102 municipalities.
Also, within the framework of this day, the head of the Unit against Gender Violence of the Delegation, Diana Mirones, will give a talk on the coordination between public administrations in cases of gender violence.
Open Gov Week is a global initiative promoted by the Open Gov Week, which takes place in 2023 from March 20 to 24, and is based on the principles of Open Government: transparency, accountability, citizen participation, public integrity and collaboration.
