The Government of Spain has called for a minute of silence after the confirmation as a case of gender violence of the murder of a woman in Madrid on December 30, an act that the Government Delegation in the Canary Islands has joined today before the main facade of all its island headquarters.
The government delegate in the Canary Islands, Anselmo Pestana, has observed the minute of silence before the facade of the Insular Directorate of the General Administration of the State in La Palma, accompanied by the insular director, Carlos García.
For his part, the deputy delegate of the Government in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Javier Plata, has observed the minute of silence in the Tenerife capital accompanied by its mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, and by representatives of the Gender Violence Unit of the Island Council.
