The Government of Spain has today called for a minute of silence after the confirmation as a case of gender violence of the murder of a woman in Guipúzcoa, an act that the Government Delegation in the Canary Islands has joined before the main facade of all its island headquarters.
The delegate of the Government in the Canary Islands, Anselmo Pestana, and the subdelegate of the Government in Las Palmas, Teresa Mayans, have observed the minute of silence at the headquarters of the Delegation of the Government, accompanied by the delegate councilor of the Area of Equality, Diversity and Citizen Participation of the City of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Betsaida González.
For his part, the deputy delegate of the Government in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Javier Plata, has observed the minute of silence at the headquarters of the Subdelegation of the Government.
