Asturias continues to be one of the provinces where the fourth edition of Ineco RuralTIC is developed, the program of digitalization of the rural world developed by Ineco, the engineering and consultancy of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda.
After the passage of Ineco RuralTIC through Coaña, two digital nomads of Ineco are already in Salas within the framework of this program that allows Ineco professionals themselves to make teleworking compatible in small territories of Spain for two weeks. This council thus becomes one of the territories where Ineco RuralTIC will arrive with its fourth edition, which from November and over the next few months will develop in a staggered way in 40 Spanish municipalities. After its participation in past editions, Salas joins this program again.
Manuel Martín, from the management of PMO and Construction Directions and Juan Mondéjar, from the management of Terrestrial Telecommunications in Ineco, will continue their usual activity remotely while supporting the digitization of Salas Through different workshops with the inhabitants of the municipality.
In the social field, this municipality has an interest in improving the digital skills of its citizens through the training that Ineco RuralTIC offers in digital communication, email, instant messaging, banking and online shopping, administrative procedures, internet security, etc.
In its economic development facet, the Ineco RuralTIC program will allow digital nomads to support local SMEs with workshops on technology for small businesses, digital positioning and electronic processing, among others.
A pioneering programme for the digitalisation of the rural world
More than 40 municipalities Spaniards have signed up for this fourth edition of the Ineco RuralTIC 4.0 programme, an innovative proposal of corporate volunteering aimed at promoting digital transformation in rural areas of Spain and which throughout all its editions has shared knowledge with a population of about 285,000 people. Since its launch, the digital nomads of Ineco RuralTIC have taught more than 1,000 workshops in more than 100 municipalities with less than 10,000 inhabitants.
Thanks to the participation of volunteer professionals of the company, the program promotes a model of collaboration between the urban and rural world, contributing to the territorial balance and facilitating a more sustainable lifestyle.
Over the next few months, Ineco RuralTIC plans to reach 10 autonomous communities and 26 provinces to enhance local digitalization, reduce the digital divide and create development opportunities through the use of technology.
