The delegate of the Government in Asturias, Adriana Lastra, has visited the actions of the Tourism Sustainability Plan of Soerra, accompanied by its mayor Belarmino Fernández.
Soerra was one of the first municipalities to benefit from this program in its 2020 regular call, thanks to the joint financing of the State Secretariat of Tourism, the Government of the Principality and the City of Soerra, with a total of 1,870,000 euros.
During the visit they were able to visit the Ecomuseum at the headquarters of Veigas, where the teitos have been rehabilitated, the geological viewpoint of the Saliencia Valley in the Alto de la Farrapona or the performances developed in the pool park of La Pola Sofear.
The delegate of the Government has set as an example the work carried out in Soerra, which has contributed significantly to consolidating the tourist proposal of the municipality, closely linked, on the one hand, to nature and biodiversity and, on the other, to ethnographic and cultural heritage.
