The Government, through an Agreement of the Government Delegated Commission for Economic Affairs (CDGAE) and an Order of the Ministry of Finance, has approved the granting of regional incentives to a total of 93 projects in eleven Autonomous Communities. Specifically, this aid is intended for Aragon, Asturias, Murcia, Castilla-La Mancha, Galicia, Canary Islands, Castilla y León, Andalusia, Extremadura, Valencia and the Balearic Islands.
The details of the subsidies granted to Asturias are as follows:
- Servicios Asturianos del Metal S.L., in Avilés. 60.925.85 euros of subsidy for an investment of 1.218.517.00 that will create 15 jobs.
- Oxiplant, in Gijón. 447,300 euros for an investment of 4.9 million euros that will create 30 jobs.
The overall amount of the grants awarded is EUR 170,542,975.09 and will allow a total investment of EUR 875,939,127 to be mobilised. These projects will maintain 8,374 jobs in these 93 companies and create an additional 2,050 new jobs.
In the specific case of Asturias, according to the Ministerial Order that will be published in the Official State Gazette (BOE), two projects have been approved that have received 508,225.85 euros of grant and represent a total investment of 6,188,517 euros.
They will also create 45 new jobs and maintain 128 jobs.
This aid contributes to the interterritorial economic balance and to inclusive and sustainable economic growth by financing productive investment projects, job generators, technologically advanced and environmentally sustainable, promoting economic activity in the regions with a lower level of development and helping to close the gap in terms of per capita income with the rest of the regions, not only of Spain but also of the EU.
