The delegate of the Government in Asturias, Adriana Lastra, has intervened in the inauguration of the III Artisan Fair ‘Pixota’ that is held this weekend at the pier of As Figueiras, in Castropol, and in which the councilor of Rural Environment and Agrarian Policy, Marcelino Marcos, and the mayor, Francisco Javier Vinjoy, have also participated.
Lastra has highlighted that the fair “is not just an exhibition of products, it is a real festival of art, history and the identity of Asturias”. Craftsmanship “is not only a source of employment and economic development,” said the government delegate, “but it is also a means to preserve our cultural identity and transmit it to future generations.”
More than 40 artisans participate in the exhibition, which according to Lastra “demonstrates the dynamism of the sector and the interest it arouses among visitors”.
