All climbing play-off matches were declared high-risk by the Standing Commission of the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport.
The National Police, with the collaboration of the Local Police of Oviedo, will start from Sunday morning a device in the surroundings of the Carlos Tartiere Stadium and in the areas where more fans are expected. The National Police will deploy Special Units UIP, UPR, Tedax, Subsoil, Canine Guides, Citizen Care Groups and Information Brigades. As established by Royal Decree 203/2010, random blood alcohol checks will be made at the accesses to the stadium and entry will be prohibited to those who present symptoms of drunkenness.
At the meeting, all parties have expressed their concern about the safety of the local team’s regular bus travel from the Monte Naranco hotel to the Carlos Tartiere Stadium. In this regard, and to ensure the safety of both the vehicle in which the team travels and the fans, the Local Police of Oviedo will travel the entire route and the parking of vehicles will not be allowed. The hobby is advised not to use flares or other devices that may hinder the visibility of the bus driver.
Regarding the fans of the visiting team, in the absence of conversations with RCD Espanyol, the intention of the National Police is to encapsulate the fans somewhere to be determined to go to the protected stadium.
The Civil Guard and the Provincial Traffic Headquarters will be at the disposal of the needs of the National Police within its sphere of competence.
