The delegate of the Government in Asturias, Delia Losa, has received Fabián Suárez, the new director of the Institute of Carbon Science and Technology, INCAR, center of the Higher Council of Scientific Research, CSIC, which in turn is attached to the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
Suárez holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Oviedo and has been a senior scientist at the CSIC since 2008. His research activity has focused on the development of advanced carbon materials for environmental and energy applications such as the storage of hydrogen and methane for use as fuels in vehicles or the capture of CO2 by absorption. He has published 60 articles in international journals.
