Work has already begun to improve road safety at two intersections of the N-634 as it passes through Siero. The actions are part of a global project of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda in eight points of five councils and with a budget of 4.1 million euros.
Siero’s two performances represent an outlay of 642,544 euros: one located at pk 391, in La Carrera, and another at pk 400, in Viella. They are two intersections that will be transformed into roundabouts to improve safety conditions, by eliminating all left turns and roadway crossings. Lighting will also be improved using LED technology. In addition, a 20-metre-high lighting tower equipped with four projectors will be placed on the central islet of the La Carrera roundabout.
In the two works, the movements of lands have begun and the signage is already in place.
